One step closer

Artwork is done, mixes are ready, now we master the record and print them bitches up!!

Mixing  is officially complete for the new album.
Its gritty, dirty, and sounds like 4o grit sand paper. It rocks harder and rolls farther than our previous records and we cant wait till you guys hear it.

With the help of Reuben Ghose and David Porteous we captured some incredible sounds in the studio, and by recording live off the floor together we ended up with a very live sounding record, which is exactly what we wanted.

Tomorrow we head into Toronto once again to master the project at Lacquer Channel http://www.lacquerchannel.com/  and get one step closer to putting this sucka out there.

Also check out the artist we snagged to do the artwork for the disc. Just wait till you see it.

So thats whats up, we will be announcing our release party shortly. Next blog maybe..

CANADIAN MUSICIAN MAGAZINE!

We are featured in the April 2011 edition of Canadian Musician Magazine!! Check out the online edition here http://www.canadianmusician.com/online/index.php
Page 78

Here's what they had to say...

"With an ever-growing fan base and two well received full-lengths already to their name, Hamilton’s GRUVE are poised to have one hell of a year in 2011.

The three piece incorporates musical styles from reggae to dirty slide guitar and jammy dance tracks into their output. Having built their momentum playing a myriad of events like the S.C.E.N.E Music Festival, Bookie’s Nu Music Night at Toronto’s Horseshoe Tavern, and Fred Eaglesmith’s annual picnic, GRUVE have focused a lot of time and effort into making their live show a high energy party environment, forcing people to their feet and getting them moving.

The band is currently in the process of recording and releasing their third album and hope to support the release on the road, branching out into new markets across the country. If you agree with Sam Roberts in that “the kids don’t know how to dance and rock and roll” give GRUVE a try. They might convince you otherwise. "      Ben Conoley
